TY Trip to Tanagh OEC
This year’s Transition Year started with a splash, literally! The TYs headed off on their first trip of the year to Tanagh Outdoor Education Centre in Co. Monaghan on Tuesday September 14th. It was a fun filled trip, focusing on team building and allowing the TY students to get to know their new classmates better through a serious of team building exercises. The trip proved to be a huge success and tested the endurance of both students and teachers! Activities included climbing a daunting rock wall and facing a steep slippery slope. We also had the chance to perfect our kayaking and archery skills after we got to grips with the Monaghan countryside by moonlight on an eventful night walk. The trip allowed students to get to know each other in a more relaxed environment and realise each other’s strengths and roles in the group. Fears were faced, laughter was infectious, friendships built and memories made. And even if we try to forget some of those mucky memories we have a catalogue of embarrassing photos to remind us!
